In August, DSP Mutual Fund exited eight stocks including NHPC, Bharat Dynamics, The India Cements and Ashok Leyland.
What Happened: During the month of August, the fund house sold 21.89 lakh shares of NHPC worth around ₹23 crore. The fund also sold 60,000 shares of Ashok Leyland last month worth around ₹1.54 crore, IDBI Capital said in a report.
Bharat Dynamics saw the fund managers offloading 1.51 lakh shares worth around ₹22.11 crore. The mutual fund also sold around 13.92 lakh shares of Whirlpool Of India. The stake was worth a massive ₹298 crore.

On the flip side, the fund — which manages over ₹1.86 lakh crore — added stakes in eight stocks including Power Mech Projects, PVR Inox, Bata India, Eris Lifesciences, Unicommerce eSolutions and Premier Energies.
The biggest addition in terms of value was Power Mech Projects. The fund house bought 1.39 lakh shares of the company worth around ₹95 crore. The mutual fund also entered PVR Inox, buying 19,129 shares worth around ₹2.90 crore.
The fund house also bought 6.68 lakh shares, worth around ₹92 crore, of Eris Lifesciences. The fund house shelled out over ₹16 crore to pick up 7.49 lakh shares of Unicommerce.
