Divi's Laboratories, Bharti Airtel Among Top Nifty Gainers On Tuesday

On Tuesday, Nifty 50 closed up 0.42% at 25,041.10. During the session, 33 stocks gained while 17 declined.

Divi’s Laboratories led the pack with a 4.89% increase, closing at ₹5426.45, up from its previous close at ₹5173.5.

Following closely was LTIMindtree, which saw a 3.20% rise, ending the day at ₹6343.35 compared to its last close at ₹6146.6. The third in line, Bharti Airtel, also had a positive day with a 2.28% increase, closing at ₹1577.85 from its last close of ₹1542.65.

Wipro and Tech Mahindra were not far behind, with their stocks gaining 3.20% and 4.89%, respectively.

On the flip side, HDFC Life was the biggest loser of the day, with a 4.47% drop, closing at ₹702.90 from its last close at ₹735.80.

SBI Life followed suit with a 2.54% decrease, ending the day at ₹1853.45, down from its previous close at ₹1901.75.

Bajaj Finserv and Bajaj Finance also had a rough day, with their stocks falling by 1.93% and 1.44%, respectively. Bajaj Finserv closed at ₹1824.50, down from its last close at ₹1860.45, while Bajaj Finance ended the day at ₹7241.85, a drop from its last close at ₹7347.45.

ONGC rounded off the list of top five losers, with a 1.10% decrease, closing at ₹295.60 from its last close at ₹298.90.

Vinod Nair, Head of Research, Geojit Financial Services said, “The domestic market showcased a gradual rebound driven by the shift in focus towards upcoming US inflation and potential FED policy stance. The US political risk and recession fears may set near-term cautious sentiments in the global market. On the domestic front, a strong monsoon, and an expectation of an uptick in demand during festival season will drive investor sentiment.”
