Zomato has rolled out the ‘Book Now, Sell Anytime’ which allows users to sell their tickets on the platform if they are not able to make it to a program they planned.
What Happened: Zomato announced the feature in their blog post on August 27. This feature allows users to book tickets for an event well in advance and sell them anytime, without any inconvenience.

To prevent misuse of this feature, such as black market touting or unfair pricing, the company has put in a price cap of 2 times the current value, meaning if a user bought a ticket for ₹1,000 for an event and the current price is ₹2,000, they can sell the ticket at the maximum rate of ₹4,000.
Zomato has also put a restriction that people can only buy 10 tickets in a category that can be put for sale. The ‘Book Now, Sell Anytime’ feature will be available on the Zomato app from September 30th, 2024, beginning with the Zomato Feeding India Concert, which features pop star Dua Lipa.
The launch of the new feature comes after Zomato announced it will buy Paytm’s ticketing business for ₹2,048 crore.
