CWD Limited has secured a two-year Master Supply Agreement (MSA) with the digital payment platform PhonePe.

What Happened: CWD Limited will design, develop, and produce a sound box device for PhonePe, the company said in a press release on Monday. The two-year deal is valued at ₹100 crore.

The sound box is a payment solution that has transformed how merchants handle and verify UPI transactions. Integrated effortlessly with PhonePe’s platform, the device offers multilingual audible payment confirmations, allowing merchants to concentrate on serving customers without the need to frequently check their mobile devices.

“The partnership with PhonePe underscores CWD's unwavering commitment to harnessing our exceptional engineering and R&D expertise to spearhead innovation in electronic devices…This collaboration represents not only a significant milestone for CWD but also a profound endorsement of the ‘Make in India’ initiative,” said Siddhartha Xavier, joint managing director of CWD Limited.

As per the agreement, CWD Limited will oversee the end-to-end design, development, and production of the Sound Box, ensuring high-quality standards and timely delivery to PhonePe.
