Garden Reach Shipbuilders in its earnings call for the June quarterly results informed that the company’s order book currently stands at ₹25,231.29 crore.
What Happened: This is an 11% increase from the ₹22,652.68 crore order book reported at the end of March 2024. The company’s management explained that out of the current order book, 90% is for the shipbuilding segment.
This comes as several of its PSU peers such as Magazon Dock Shipbuilders, RVNL and IRCON have seen order book decline in the June quarter.

The company said that revenue growth guidance is maintained at 25%-30%. Talking about the status of the order from Bangladesh, the company’s management said that the two orders from the country account for around 1% of the total order book.
The management added that the impact on the company in any case is not very significant. The company said that the current geopolitical situation in the country is a passing phase and should not impact the two order that have been placed and are currently preparatory phase.
