Tata Elxsi has announced a strategic partnership with Skanray, a leading global medical technology research and development and manufacturing firm to enhance surgical imaging and healthcare innovation.

What Happened: Skanray has selected Tata Elxsi as a key partner to develop advanced surgical imaging core technology and software platform, according to a regulatory filing. The collaboration is aimed at revamping diagnosis and treatment procedures by incorporating state-of-the-art technology modules to ensure predictability, accuracy and consistency.

Tata Elxsi will spearhead a software platform-led approach to diagnostics that will cater to all imaging, critical care and surgical systems from Skanray. The platform will also integrate AI and GenAI technologies.

Pankaj Madhukar Wani, the head of healthcare business unit at Tata Elxsi, expressed his excitement about the partnership, stating, “The diagnostic imaging landscape is being transformed by software and digital technologies such as cloud and AI. We are delighted to be supporting Skanray in realising their long-term strategy and vision for healthcare. This long-term partnership will help create transformative solutions for healthcare facilities and patients worldwide.”

Priyanka Chatterjee, vice president of corporate communications at Skanray Technologies Ltd, also expressed optimism about the partnership, stating that their collaborative efforts will result in solutions that are not only technologically advanced but are also operator-friendly and cost-effective, helping healthcare providers deliver significantly improved health outcomes for patients.
