Hero MotoCorp has initiated operations in the Philippines. This move is a part of the company’s ongoing global expansion strategy.
What Happened: Hero MotoCorp made an announcement on Thursday about the commencement of its operations in the Philippines, as per a regulatory filing.
The company has joined hands with Terrafirma Motors Corporation (TMC), a part of the Columbian Group of Companies, a prominent automotive group in the Philippines. TMC will be the exclusive assembler and distributor of Hero MotoCorp products and services. This collaboration was initially announced in October 2022.

“The commencement of operations in the Philippines will bolster our overall global presence,” stated Niranjan Gupta, CEO of Hero MotoCorp. The company has established a state-of-the-art assembly unit and parts warehouse at Terrafirma Motors Corporation in Laguna, Philippines. The facility spread over 6,000 square metres, can produce over 1.50 lakh units annually.
In addition to this, Hero MotoCorp has also launched its retail operations in the Philippines, offering its range of motorcycles, including the Xpulse 200 4V, Hunk 160R 4V, and the Xoom 110 scooter.
The partners have set up a comprehensive retail network with over 350 customer touch-points and aim to rapidly expand this network by the end of the year.
