L&T Technology Inks Partnership To Bring AI Simulation Tech To Railways Market

L&T Technology Services Limited and PS Technology have forged a strategic alliance to introduce advanced simulation technology to India’s railways market and surrounding regions.

What Happened: The companies signed an agreement to concentrate on the design, development, and supply of advanced AI-based simulation technologies intended to improve the operational efficiency and safety of rail infrastructure in India and abroad.

Under the collaboration, a first-customer experience and R&D center (CXC) in Faridabad have been set up near New Delhi. The CXC will utilise new technologies for the design and supply of simulators, setting new benchmarks in the Indian railroad sector. The centre’s objective is to offer support and innovation, driving advancements in simulation and training capabilities for the railways market.

Through this partnership, L&T Technology Services will leverage its substantial domain expertise in the rail engineering segment to assist in the localisation and indigenisation of PS Technology's tech, ensuring it caters to the specific needs of the country’s railways.

Alind Saxena, executive director and president of mobility and tech at L&T Technology Services stated that their partnership would deliver transformative mobility solutions that enhance operational efficiency and safety across the rail network.

Price Action: Shares of L&T Technology Services were down 0.63% at ₹5,167.85 on Tuesday.
