BEL To Report Earnings On July 29: What To Expect

Bharat Electronics is scheduled to post its earnings for the quarter ended July on Monday, July 29.

What To Expect: Brokerages mostly expect the defence major to post muted earnings. Equirus in its preview note said that the first quarter is typically the weakest for (BEL) in terms of execution, accounting for around 15% of annual sales.

Consequently, margins are also the lowest among the four quarters. As a result, the analysts added that 1Q performance has minimal impact on the full year's numbers. The analysts expect the defence PSU to post net sales of around ₹3,704 crore, with a net profit of ₹548.2 crore.

Analysts at Nirmal Bang also expect the defence industry to post muted numbers due to sluggishness in executing orders ahead of general elections and cyclicality. The brokerage firm estimates BEL’s revenue for the quarter to come in at ₹3,908.9 crore with a net profit of ₹677.6 crore.

Analysts at Antique Broking also see BEL’s revenue going up around 13% year-on-year to ₹3,967.2 crore. Net profit is estimated to go up 22% to ₹647.3 crore.
