Reliance Jio Infocomm posted its earnings for the quarter ended June on Friday evenings.
What Happened: The telecom giant reported a 2.02% quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) rise in standalone net profit for the quarter ended June 2024 to ₹5,445 crore, up from ₹5,337 crore reported in the March quarter. The company saw its revenue from operations increase to ₹26,478 crore, marking a 2% rise during the quarter ended June, compared to ₹25,959 crore in Q4FY24.
On a year-on-year basis, Reliance Jio reported a 12% jump in standalone net profit for the quarter ended June 2024, from ₹4,863 crore in the June quarter. The revenue from operations also rose by 10.1%, up from ₹24,042 crore in the same quarter a year ago.
The telecom company's EBITDA for the April-June quarter came in at ₹13,920 crore. The company’s EBITDA for the March quarter was ₹13,612 crore, and ₹12,578 crore for the June quarter of 2023. During the quarter, the operating margin increased to 26.7%, up from 26.2% in the previous year and 26.3% in the previous quarter.
As of the end of June, the debt-to-equity ratio stood at 0.21 times, slightly down from 0.22 times posted at the end of Q4FY24.
