Shares of IT major Infosys shot up to an all-time high of ₹1,844 on Friday, following impressive Q1 results and many have seen their wealth rise with this stock rally.
What Happened: Akshata Murty, the daughter of Infosys' co-founder Narayana Murthy and the former first lady of the UK, saw her wealth increase significantly.
Akshata Murthy holds 1.04% of the company or 3.9 crore shares. Given Thursday's close at ₹1,758, this would amount to ₹6,848.65 crore. After shares touched a record high today, the value of her holding shot up to ₹7,183.68 crore. This led to an increase of over ₹335.03 crore in Akshata Murty's wealth.

Co-founder Narayan Murthy‘s wealth also saw an increase. Murthy held 0.41% or 1.5 crore shares. While his holding had a value of ₹2,662.60 crore as of yesterday's close, it increased to nearly ₹2,792.85 crore after today's rally. Meanwhile, the value of Sudha Murty's stake increased from ₹6,074 crores to ₹6,371.13 crores.
Infosys' shares surged after reporting a net profit of ₹6,368 crore for the quarter, marking a 7% increase compared to the ₹5,945 crore earned in the same period last year. Revenue also saw a rise of 7%, reaching ₹39,315 crore.
Price Action: Shares of Infosys were up 3.45% at ₹1,818.75 on Friday afternoon.
