Samco Mutual Fund Adds Suzlon Shares In June, Bajaj Finserv Mutual Fund Exits

In June 2024, the industry experienced a net outflow of ₹43,637 crore, a significant shift from the net inflow of ₹1.11 lakh crore recorded in May 2024. Sanofi Consumer and Stanley Lifestyles emerged as the top picks of mutual funds in June.

What Happened: Samco Mutual Fund bought 10 lakh shares of the wind energy major in June, as per a note from IDBI Capital. The market value of these shares is around ₹5.3 crore.

Bajaj Finserv Mutual Fund, on the other hand, sold 33.99 lakh shares of Suzlon in June. The market value of these shares is pegged at around ₹16.2 crore. With this, the mutual fund house completely exited the stock, the research report showed.

Suzlon Energy said last week that it won a 103.95-megawatt wind power order from AMPIN Energy Transition Private Limited. Suzlon Energy said it will supply 33 wind turbines, each with a rated capacity of 3.15 megawatts, for a project in Fatehgarh district, Rajasthan.

The company also revealed that Gurpratap S Boparai will take over as the new CEO of manufacturing, effective from July 1.

Price Action: Suzlon’s share price was down 0.97% to trade at ₹54.10 shortly after market open on Monday.
