IREDA Chairman Sees Salary Jump 40% In FY24

IREDA‘s chairman and managing director Pradip Kumar Das saw his his salary jump up over 40% in the year ended March 2024.

As per the company’s annual report, Das received a total salary of ₹95.23 lakh for the year. Salary and allowance given to him were worth around ₹53.99 lakh and performance-linked incentives were worth around ₹30.87 lakh. This is an around 40% increase from the ₹67.56 lakh he was paid for the year ended March 2023.

Das has been the chairman & managing director of the company since May 6, 2020. He holds a bachelor's degree in commerce from the University of Calcutta and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar.

He has over 37 years of experience in various positions in finance, banking, corporate governance, audit, etc., both in the public and private sectors. Before joining the IREDA, he was the director (finance) of India Tourism Development Corporation Limited.

On Friday, the company posted its results for the quarter ended June. IREDA reported a 30% year-over-year increase in net profit to ₹383 crore. Revenue grew 32% YoY to ₹1,501 crore.
