Global technology giant, HCLTech, has made its maiden entry into Bihar with the inauguration of a new global delivery centre in Patna.

What Happened: On Tuesday, HCLTech unveiled its new centre, which will primarily cater to Hi-Tech and Semiconductor companies by providing IT and engineering services. The inauguration was graced by several dignitaries, including Nitish Mishra, minister of industries, Govt. of Bihar, and Santosh Kumar Suman, minister of information technology, Govt. of Bihar.

The Patna centre is a part of HCLTech’s New Vistas initiative, which aims at branching out to new locations across India to harness quality talent. The centre, situated within the Udyog Bhawan Complex, promises modern workspaces, training, and growth opportunities across HCLTech's global network.

“Going forward, the centre will also house specialised labs and centres of excellence to boost HCLTech's technology innovation engine and will offer a wide range of services to global clients,” the company added in a press release.

Prateek Aggarwal, CFO, HCLTech, said, “Bihar has immense potential in terms of availability of quality talent and the centre will contribute to HCLTech's objective of being the preferred digital transformation partner to global enterprises.”
