Shriram Finance Jumps 4% To Lead Nifty 50 Gainers As Markets Hit All-Time Highs Again

On Thursday Nifty 50 closed 0.33% higher at 23,398.90. The benchmark index also created a fresh all-time high of 23,481.05 intraday as markets inched up after US inflation data came flatter than expected.

“The domestic equity benchmark traded with a modest gain, with domestic CPI data indicating that inflation is on a slow track of decline. A similar trend is reported in the US CPI, which brought down the market expectation from 2 rate cuts in CY24 to 1, which is having a mixed effect on the global markets. In the domestic broader market, the realty and consumer durables sectors took the lead owing to government initiatives to revive the affordable housing segment.” said, Vinod Nair, head of research, Geojit Financial Services.

Shriam Finance was the top gainer while Hindustan Unilever lost the most.

Shriram Finance led the charge with a notable increase of 4.57%, closing at ₹2684.30, up from ₹2566.95. This surge marked a substantial performance uptick, positioning it as the session’s top performer.
