Bill Gates, co-founder of Microsoft, is slated to participate in a podcast hosted by Nikhil Kamath, co-founder of Zerodha.

What Happened: Kamath’s popular podcast series “WTF is with Nikhil Kamath” has announced its new segment, “People By WTF,” featuring Gates as its first guest.

Scheduled to stream on June 14, 2024, this podcast promises to delve into Gates’ extensive experience in technology, his visionary insights on the future of global health, and his ongoing commitment to philanthropy through the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

The trailer for the podcast shows the two billionaires talking about entrepreneurship and health. Kamath is expected to engage Gates in a conversation spanning from technological advancements to sustainable development and global health initiatives.

In the trailer, when Kamath asked him about one hack he would suggest to young entrepreneurs he answered saying “pick an AI thing and use the Google and Microsoft platforms and go on top of that.” He however mentioned that if somebody wants to build something from scratch they could also try doing that.

Both Gates and Kamath share a common thread of philanthropy. Kamath has pledged to donate half of his wealth to ‘The Giving Pledge,’ a charitable initiative co-founded by Gates and Warren Buffet. Kamath is the youngest Indian and the fourth overall to make such a substantial commitment.

The duo’s collaboration also extends to the Young India Philanthropic Pledge (YIPP), an educational initiative in Karnataka. The YIPP symbolises a commitment by India's young change-makers to dedicate at least a quarter of their wealth to effect global change, beginning with India.
