Adani Defence & Aerospace And UAE's EDGE Group Signs Agreement In Defence & Security Cooperation Agreement

Adani Defence & Aerospace has entered into a cooperation agreement with the UAE’s EDGE Group, renowned for its advanced technology and defence capabilities.

What Happened: According to an exchange filing, the collaboration is designed to merge the strategic defence and military expertise of both companies, spanning areas such as missiles, weapons, unmanned platforms, and cyber systems.

The partnership has ambitious plans to establish research and development facilities in India, the UAE, and other global markets. The focus is on driving technological advancements in the defence sector. The companies will look at establishing Research & Development facilities in India and UAE.

Ashish Rajvanshi, CEO of Adani Defence & Aerospace, and Hamad Al Marar, Managing Director and CEO of Edge Group, have expressed their commitment to boosting defence capabilities and technological advancements. They stressed the significance of fostering bilateral defence cooperation between India and the UAE.

The agreement is designed to meet the needs of both global and local customers by leveraging the defence and aerospace capabilities of both companies. This includes exploring cooperation across EDGE's and Adani's core product domains.

Furthermore, the collaboration plans to establish facilities for the development, production, and maintenance of defence and aerospace solutions. These facilities will cater not just to the two captive markets, but also to Southeast Asian and wider global markets.
