Hindustan Unilever appointed Rohit Jawa in 2023 to succeed Sanjiv Mehta as CEO and managing director.
For the year ended March 2024, Jawa received a salary of ₹22.39 crore. His basic salary for the year was ₹3.65 crore. He received allowances of ₹10.31 crore. His bonus for the year was at ₹3.44 crore.
The company said that the bonus amount is linked to business performance measured through the lens of growth, profitability and cash generation, in addition to individual contribution. He also received long-term incentives worth around ₹3.85 crore.

Rohit Jawa, a Unilever veteran, has amassed 35 years of experience in various key managerial roles since starting as a management trainee in 1988. He is recognized for leading the transformation of Unilever’s businesses in China and the Philippines. Prior to being appointed CEO, he served as Unilever’s chief of transformation in a London-based role.
Jawa began his career with Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) after earning an MBA in marketing from Delhi University’s Faculty of Management Studies, following his graduation from Delhi's St. Stephen's College in 1986.
As the chairman of Unilever Philippines, he successfully elevated the business to become one of the top 10 markets for Unilever globally.
