What Happened: The Microsoft India X account was hijacked by individuals operating under the pseudonym ‘Roaring Kitty’, reported multiple sources. The culprits used the account to respond to tweets, leading users to a fraudulent website that falsely promised an opportunity to purchase GameStop (GME) crypto in a presale. The site was designed to pilfer assets from anyone who linked their cryptocurrency wallets and authorized transactions.

Despite the deletion of these posts, the scammers persist in reposting their content from the Microsoft India X account, which remains compromised.
