Suzlon Energy has announced getting an order for an 81.9-megawatt wind energy project from Oyster Green Hybrid One Private Limited.
What Happened: Suzlon will supply 26 wind turbines, each with a rated capacity of 3.15 megawatts, for the project at Agar in Madhya Pradesh. The electricity generated from this project will be supplied to Commercial and Industrial (C&I) customers under a captive model. A project this size could provide power to approximately 67,000 households and reduce around 2.66 lakh tonnes of CO2 emissions annually.

As part of the agreement, Suzlon will supply the wind turbines (equipment supply) and execute the project including erection and commissioning. The wind energy major will also undertake comprehensive operations and maintenance services post-commissioning.
This new order comes on the heels of the energy player bagging an order to supply 175 wind turbines, each with a rated capacity of 3.15 megawatts, to the Aditya Birla Group. The order announced on 29th May 2024, led to a 4% jump in Suzlon’s share price.
