“I received this on WhatsApp. A lot of work for us to do!” Gupta wrote in the caption, acknowledging the challenge ahead for the mutual fund industry. The Shark Tank India judge has previously also expressed her opinions about how people could very easily use Swiggy or Zomato but are not willing to invest in mutual funds.

During her appearance on The BarberShop with Shantanu podcast, she said, “I am the one who is competing with Zomato and Swiggy.” Gupta added that around 40 crore people in India subscribe to at least one over-the-top (OTT) streaming platform or use services like Zomato and Swiggy, spending a minimum of ₹100 per month. In contrast, only 4 crore people in the country invest in mutual funds.
