Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation reported its earnings for the quarter ended March after market close on Tuesday.
What Happened: The railway catering company’s net profit for the March quarter came in at ₹284.18 crore, up around 2% from the ₹278 crore posted in the same quarter last year. The company’s revenue from operations stood at ₹1,154.77 crore, around a 19% increase from the ₹965.01 crore posted during the same quarter of the previous year.

The company’s catering business which amounts to the bulk of its revenue posted sales of around ₹530.82 crore, marking an increase of around 34% from the ₹395.77 crore posted in the same quarter last year. The internet ticketing business’ revenue witnessed a 16% year-on-year increase at ₹342.41 crore. Last year, this number stood at ₹295.12 crore. Rail Neer’s revenue stood at ₹83 crore.
The company also declared a ₹4 per share final dividend for the year ended March 2024.
Price Action: IRCTC’s share price was down 1.65% to close at ₹1,083.10 on Tuesday.
