Adani Stocks Among Top Losers As Markets End Lower For 3rd Day

In today’s session, NIFTY 50 extended losses for the third consecutive session going down 0.19% to close at 22,888.15. Divis Laboratories and Adani Ports were the top gainers and losers in today’s trading session.

Divis Laboratories leads the gainers with a significant surge of 3.22%, trading at ₹4,392.10, showing robust growth from its last closing at ₹4,255.25.

Close behind is SBI Life Insurance, which has risen by 2.88%, with its shares priced at ₹1450.75, reflecting a gain from ₹1410.20.

HDFC Life Insurance also shows a strong performance, climbing 2.52% to ₹578.45, up from ₹564.25. Hero Motocorp gained 1.97% to close the Nifty gainers.

On the downside, Adani Ports lead the decliners, dropping by 2.18% to ₹1400.50, down from ₹1431.65. The dip could stem from operational headwinds or market corrections post-recent gains after it got included in the Sensex.

Power Grid Corporation and Bharat Petroleum also face setbacks, decreasing by 1.62% and 1.46% respectively.

Adani Enterprises also fell 1.37% in the session, rounding off the losers on Nifty 50. The conglomerate was in the news as reports surfaced that the conglomerate is looking to enter payments and e-commerce business. The company’s board also approved the proposal to raise ₹16,600 crore through Qualified Institutional Placement (QIP).
