Doordarshan’s DD Kisan channel is set to launch two AI anchors. The announcement was made on Friday morning.

What Happened: DD Kisan, after nine years of broadcasting, is all set for a revamp. The channel’s new look and style will be highlighted by the introduction of two AI anchors, AI Krish and AI Bhoomi. As per the announcement, these AI anchors will be operational round the clock.

The AI anchors are designed to provide crucial information about agricultural research, market trends, weather updates, and government schemes. Impressively, they can communicate in 50 languages, catering to a diverse viewer base across the country.

DD Kisan, established by the Government of India on 26 May 2015, has been dedicated to keeping farmers abreast with weather changes, global and local markets, and more. The introduction of AI anchors is expected to further enhance its service to the agricultural and rural communities.

The AI anchors will be accessible to farmers across all states of the country, from Kashmir to Tamil Nadu and from Gujarat to Arunachal. This move is seen as a significant step in leveraging AI technology for the benefit of the farming community.
