Nuvama announced the appointment of Bharat Kalsi as Group CFO and Head of Strategy. Kalsi previously worked with Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance.

What Happened: According to a press release on Tuesday, Nuvama Wealth Management Limited has appointed Kalsi as the new Group Chief Financial Officer and Head of Strategy.

Kalsi brings over 24 years of experience in finance, tax, investments, M&A, investor relations, and corporate strategy. He has previously worked with prominent organisations like HCL, HSBC, Max, Tata, and Bajaj Group.

In his last role, Kalsi served as the CFO and head of Product & CS functions at Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance. He holds an MBA in finance and additional qualifications of CFA and CPA.

Ashish Kehair, MD & CEO of Nuvama Group, expressed confidence in Kalsi’s ability to provide strategic direction and enhance financial planning and analysis. Kehair stated, “Bharat will play a pivotal role in the company's financial reporting, planning & analysis, and in providing strategic direction.”

Kalsi succeeds Mihir Nanavati, who was instrumental in Nuvama’s transition from demerger to successful listing.
