Raghunandan Srinivas Kamath, the founder of Naturals Ice Cream, a leading ice cream brand in India, has passed away at the age of 70.
What Happened: As per several media reports, Kamath breathed his last at Mumbai’s H N Reliance Foundation Hospital on May 17. He leaves behind his wife and two sons.

Kamath’s journey from humble beginnings to establishing a ₹400 crore empire has been a source of motivation for many. A native of Mulki, a town in the Mangalore taluk of Karnataka, Kamath began his professional journey helping his father in his fruit business. This early introduction to the fruit industry was instrumental in shaping his future enterprise.
In 1984, Kamath launched an ice cream business with merely four employees and some basic ingredients, thus giving birth to Naturals Ice Cream. The company, which initially offered only 12 varieties of ice cream, grew exponentially due to Kamath’s innovative business strategies. By 2020, Naturals Ice Cream had 135 outlets across India.
