Google Wallet Partners With Aurionpro Transit To Offer Public Transport Payment Solutions

Aurionpro Transit Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of Aurionpro Solutions Limited, has joined forces with tech giant Google to launch wallet solutions.

What Happened: On Thursday, Aurionpro Transit announced its collaboration with Google to integrate its app-based and ORS ticketing solution with Google Wallet. This integration will enable passengers to plan their journeys, purchase tickets, and ride public transport with ease, all while storing and reviewing their tickets in one secure location.

After purchasing a ticket, the commuter can store it in Google Wallet as a co-branded card or or QR code pass/ticket. Within the app, a customer can plan the journey or select one using Google Maps, and directly purchase the ticket for interoperable, hassle-free travel.

Sanjay Bali, CEO of Aurionpro Transit, expressed his optimism about the project, stating that it will offer riders a clear view of their savings through the pay-as-you-go (PAYG) experience. He also emphasized the speed, seamlessness, and security of using Google Pay for transit payments.

Ram Papatla, GM & India Engineering Lead, Android at Google, shared his excitement about the partnership. He noted that the introduction of Google Wallet in India is a significant step in Android’s journey in the country.
