Cochin Shipyard Leads Nifty 500 Gainers, Tube Investments Of India Biggest Loser

Tuesday’s trading session saw more Nifty 500 companies gain. 369 stocks advanced while 127 stocks declined. 4 scrips remained unchanged.

Cochin Shipyard led the surge with an impressive 12.38% increase in its stock price, closing at ₹1343.20, up from ₹1195.20. Cochin Shipyard stock surged after the company won a large order worth between ₹500 crore and ₹1000 crore from a European client.

Finolex Industries also saw substantial growth, with its stock price rising by 11.12% to ₹301.30 from ₹271.15. Railtel Corporation of India experienced a robust increase of 9.56%, with its stock advancing to ₹390.65 from ₹356.55.

Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders closely followed with a 9.43% rise in its stock price to ₹2333.60 from ₹2132.60. Engineers India rounded out the top five gainers with a 9.21% increase to ₹245.40 from ₹224.70.

Cipla saw its stock price decrease by 4.05% to ₹1357.35 from ₹1414.65, which might be linked to profit-taking after recent gains. Zomato also encountered a decrease, with its stock falling by 3.60% to ₹187.30 from ₹194.30, extending its slump to the second straight session.

Piramal Pharma completed the list of major losers, with a 3.44% drop to ₹148.90 from ₹154.20.
