Amidst the ongoing elections, Rapido has announced that it will provide free rides to voters in Hyderabad and three other cities on the polling day, May 13.
What Happened: Rapido is stepping up to boost voter turnout by offering complimentary rides to polling stations. The initiative is designed to encourage more citizens to exercise their voting rights by eliminating transportation hurdles.
The free service will be operational in Hyderabad and three other cities on the polling day. The other cities are Karimnagar, Khammam and Warangal.

On election day, voters can get free rides with the code ‘VOTENOW’ to help them exercise their right to vote. This initiative aims to promote voter participation and contribute to a more inclusive electoral process.
Rapido’s Co-founder Pavan Guntupalli said that the initiative aims to ensure every voter in Hyderabad, Karimnagar, Khammam, and Warangal can easily fulfil their civic duty by casting their votes in the Indian General Election 2024.
This move by Rapido comes at a time when voter turnout has been a concern in many parts of the country.
