Grasim Industries Shares Jump 4% To Lead Nifty 50 Gainers

Tuesday’s trading session on the NIFTY 50 index showcased a diverse range of performances, with Grasim Industries leading the gainers, and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries experiencing the steepest decline.

Grasim Industries stood out as the top performer, with its stock price climbing by 3.93% to ₹2370.15, up from ₹2280.55. Bharti Airtel followed closely, registering a 3.45% increase to ₹1342.35 from a previous close of ₹1297.55.

Lastly, HCL Technologies rounded off the top five gainers with a 1.42% increase to ₹1486.65 from ₹1465.9, showcasing its resilience in the IT industry.

Conversely, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries led the pack of decliners, with its stock price falling by 3.60% to ₹1484.65 from ₹1540.1, marking a challenging day for the pharmaceutical giant.

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) also faced a downturn, with a 1.73% decrease to ₹593 from ₹603.45. Reliance Industries saw a decline of 1.39% to ₹2918.65 from ₹2959.7.

Mahindra & Mahindra reported a 1.34% drop in its stock price to ₹2062.6 from ₹2090.65, underlining the competitive pressures in the automobile industry. Hindalco Industries completed the list of top losers with a 1.09% decline to ₹611.8 from ₹618.55, reflecting the challenges faced in the metals sector.
