Tata Motors, TCS, Tata Consumer Among Top Gainers As Markets Have A Rough Day

Friday’s trading session witnessed a mix of highs and lows on the NIFTY 50 index. The top performers were led by Tata Consumer Products, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), and Tata Motors, while Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, Maruti Suzuki India, and Power Grid Corporation of India trailed at the bottom.

Tata Consumer Products emerged as one of the top gainers with a modest 0.36% increase, closing at ₹1149.45, slightly up from its last close of ₹1145.30. Following closely was Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), which saw a 0.42% rise, ending the day at ₹4001.40, compared to its previous close of ₹3984.65.

Tata Motors also had a positive day, with a 0.49% increase, closing at ₹1018.50, up from its last close of ₹1013.50. Bajaj Auto followed suit with a 0.66% gain, ending the day at ₹9064.85, up from its previous close of ₹9005.55.

The star performer of the day was Divi’s Laboratories, which saw a significant 1.09% increase, closing at ₹3779.70, a substantial rise from its last close of ₹3739.10.

On the flip side, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries took a hit with a 3.99% decrease, closing at ₹1540.00, down from its last close of ₹1604.05. Maruti Suzuki India followed with a 3.28% drop, ending the day at ₹12266.55, a significant fall from its previous close of ₹12682.75.

Power Grid Corporation of India also faced a setback with a 2.58% decrease, closing at ₹275.25, down from its last close of ₹282.55. Titan Company and Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) weren’t far behind, with a 2.48% and 2.32% decrease respectively, closing at ₹3619.30 and ₹265.70, down from their previous closes of ₹3711.20 and ₹272.00.
