Blinkit, the speedy quick commerce arm of Zomato, is teaming up with tech giant Sony to bring the eagerly anticipated PlayStation 5 into the homes of gaming enthusiasts.
What Happened: Starting today, April 5, the console will be available for purchase, making it easier than ever for gamers to get their hands on Sony’s latest console.
Albinder Dhindsa, the CEO of Blinkit, excitedly announced on X, “PlayStation 5 on Blinkit. Launching tomorrow.” Gamers can choose between the PlayStation 5 Slim, priced at ₹54,990, and the digital edition, which will set them back ₹44,990.

This kind of partnership isn’t new to Blinkit. Earlier, Blinkit partnered with Samsung to deliver the Galaxy S24 series swiftly in several major cities. Last year, the platform also collaborated with Unicorn to deliver the ‘Made-in-India’ iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus directly to customers’ doorsteps in Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Pune, and Bengaluru.
However, it’s not all smooth sailing for Blinkit; despite a significant revenue jump to ₹724.2 crore in FY23 from ₹236.1 crore in FY22, the company’s losses widened to ₹1,078.9 crore from ₹996.7 crore the previous year.
