Wipro, Infosys, Other IT Heavyweights Lead Nifty 50 Losers On Friday

Friday’s trading session saw a mixed bag of performances in the NIFTY 50 index. The top five gainers were led by Hero MotoCorp, while L&T Technology Services topped the list of losers.

Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, saw its stock price rise by 2.79% to ₹1,608.90 from the previous close of ₹1,565.20. Next was Apollo Hospitals Enterprise, which experienced a 2.95% increase, taking its stock price to ₹6,365.00 from ₹6,182.50.

Next in line was UPL, which saw a 3.17% increase in its stock price, closing at ₹470.00 from its last close of ₹455.55. Maruti Suzuki India also had a good day, with its stock price rising by 3.61% to ₹12,337.70 from ₹11,908.15.

Leading the pack of gainers was Hero MotoCorp, with a significant 3.63% increase in its stock price, closing at ₹4,684.00 from its last close of ₹4,519.90.

On the flip side, the list of losers was led by LTIMindtree, which saw a 3.00% decrease in its stock price, closing at ₹5,005.00 from its last close of ₹5,159.90. It was followed by another tech giant Infosys, which experienced a 2.95% decrease in its stock price, closing at ₹1,508.85 from ₹1,554.70.

Wipro also had a rough day, with its stock price decreasing by 2.67% to ₹487.10 from ₹500.45. HCL Technologies followed suit with a 2.38% decrease, closing at ₹1557.85 from its last close of ₹1595.80.

The list of losers was rounded off by Tech Mahindra, which saw a 1.57% decrease in its stock price, closing at ₹1262.65 from its last close of ₹1282.75.
