Biryani Woes: Bengaluru's Meghana Foods Hit By IT Raid

One of Bengaluru’s most popular biryani joints was reportedly being probed by income tax authorities on Tuesday.

What Happened: Income Tax authorities reportedly initiated raids at the well-known Meghana Foods eatery in Bengaluru, Karnataka, at 5 a.m. on Tuesday morning, according to news agency PTI.

Known for its delectable Biryani and assorted dishes, Meghana Foods is extremely popular among Bengaluru locals.

Headquartered in Hyderabad, Meghana Foods has extended its culinary presence into Bengaluru. The eatery is under the proprietorship of Padma Atluri and Rambabu Mandava, as reported by The Economic Times.

The raids were conducted at multiple locations, including the company’s offices in Koramangala, Indiranagar, Jayanagar and other establishments linked to Meghana Foods. Further details regarding the operations are awaited.

Meghana began its operations in Koramangala, Bengaluru in 2006 and has five outlets across the city. It has grown in popularity to become one of the go-to biryani joints among families and young professionals alike.
