The gifting of 15 lakh shares to his grandson has resulted in a slight dip in Narayana Murthy’s stake in Infosys, bringing it down from 0.40% to 0.36%, equating to over 1.51 crore shares. Notably, this significant share transfer was completed off-market, as detailed in the filing.

The story behind the gift is as rich as its value. As the third grandchild of the Murthy lineage, joining two granddaughters from Akshata Murty and son-in-law Rishi Sunak, Ekagrah’s arrival has undoubtedly brought immense joy and pride to the family.
