UPL Jumps 3% To Lead Gainers As Markets End The Week In Red

On Friday, the NIFTY 50 index saw a mixed bag of winners and losers. The top performer of the day was UPL, while Mahindra & Mahindra bore the brunt of the market’s wrath.

UPL emerged as the top gainer, with its stock price surging by 2.82% to ₹475.15, up from the previous close of ₹462.10. Following closely behind was Bharti Airtel, which saw a robust 2.13% increase in its stock price, closing at ₹1,220.00. The stock had closed at ₹1194.60 the previous day.

Bajaj Finance also had a good day on the market, with its stock price rising by 1.83% to ₹6,514.35, up from its last close of ₹6,397.45.

Other notable gainers included HDFC Life Insurance Company and Adani Enterprises, which saw their stock prices increase by 1.62% and 1.45% to close at ₹632.35 and ₹3,132.20 respectively.

On the flip side, Mahindra & Mahindra was the biggest loser of the day, with its stock price plummeting by a significant 4.82% to ₹1799.50, down from its previous close of ₹1,890.55.

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited also had a rough day, with its stock price falling by 3.66% to ₹586.45, a significant drop from its last close of ₹608.75.

Coal India and Tata Motors weren’t far behind, with their stock prices decreasing by 2.91% and 2.26% to close at ₹415.25 and ₹945.85 respectively.

Lastly, Larsen & Toubro also found itself on the losing end, with its stock price falling by 1.97% to ₹3537.15, down from its last close of ₹3608.20.
