PVR INOX Revives Mumbai's Beloved Sangam Cinema With High-End Features

PVR INOX has breathed new life into Mumbai’s iconic Sangam Cinema, now boasting state-of-the-art theatrical solutions and a seating capacity of 1,121.

What Happened: PVR INOX announced on Tuesday the reopening of Sangam Cinema in Andheri East, Mumbai. The cinema has been revamped into a 4-screen multiplex.

The refurbished Sangam Cinema now features top-tier theatrical solutions, including 2K projection, Dolby 7.1 audio, and Next-Gen 3D technology. The multiplex also offers last-row celebrity recliners, enhancing the overall movie-going experience.

“We take immense pride in extending our presence in Mumbai through the reopening of Sangam Cinema, a cherished neighbourhood cinema with a rich history,” said Ajay Bijli, managing director, PVR INOX Limited.

This launch expands PVR INOX’s footprint in Mumbai to 25 properties and 123 screens. It also strengthens the company’s presence in Maharashtra with 257 screens across 54 properties and 350 screens across 79 properties in the West.

PVR INOX now operates the largest multiplex network with 1,717 screens across 362 properties in 113 cities in India and Sri Lanka.
