Bharti Airtel announced new in-flight roaming plans on February 22, enabling customers to stay connected even while flying. Starting at a modest ₹195, these plans allow for internet browsing, calls, and other services during flights.
What to know? Airtel’s stock exchange filing revealed that customers with existing roaming packs priced at ₹2,997 for prepaid and ₹3,999 for postpaid will have the added benefit of in-flight roaming at no extra cost. The company is enhancing the travel experience by offering voice, data, and SMS services on board.
The pricing details include ₹195 for 250 MB data, 100 minutes of outgoing calls, and 100 outgoing SMSes with a 24-hour validity. A ₹295 plan offers 500 MB of data and similar call and SMS benefits, while the ₹595 plan provides 1 GB of data, alongside the calling and messaging services, all valid for 24 hours.

Airtel’s Director of Customer Experience and Marketing, Amit Tripathi, expressed enthusiasm about extending Airtel’s seamless connectivity to in-flight services, ensuring customers can stay connected with their loved ones while travelling.
To ensure top-notch in-flight connectivity, Airtel has partnered with Aeromobile across 19 international airlines. For customer support, Airtel maintains a 24/7 contact centre and a dedicated WhatsApp number (99100-99100) for real-time assistance. Additionally, the Airtel Thanks App offers self-service options for managing data, purchasing additional minutes, and accessing real-time billing details.
Price Action: Bharti Airtel shares ended the day 0.18% lower at ₹1,137.80, with the scrip recovering from an intraday low of ₹1,097.85.
