Following closely, Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. witnessed a 4.57% increase, closing at ₹281.45, a noticeable rise from its previous close at ₹269.15. Next in line, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. recorded a 4.38% hike in its stock price, ending the day at ₹650.95, compared to its last close at ₹623.65. Further, NTPC Ltd. and Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. also experienced positive trading sessions with their stock prices rising by 3.92% and 2.83% respectively, closing at ₹340.85 and ₹276.45.

On the flip side, the trading day wasn’t as kind to some. The biggest loser of the day, Axis Bank Ltd., saw a decline of 2.01% in its stock price, closing at ₹1074.75, down from its last close at ₹1096.85. Following Axis Bank Ltd., Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd. experienced a drop of 1.84% in its stock price, closing the day at ₹6630.00, a dip from its previous close at ₹6754.10.
ITC Ltd., Britannia Industries Ltd., and Hindustan Unilever Ltd. also faced the heat with their stock prices falling by 1.65%, 1.31%, and 1.30% respectively, ending the trading session at ₹404.75, ₹4945.00, and ₹2357.00.
Indian benchmark indices extended their gains for the third consecutive session on February 15, with the Nifty surpassing the 21,900 mark. The Sensex closed higher by 227.55 points or 0.32% at 72,050.38, while the Nifty rose by 70.80 points or 0.32% to reach 21,910.80. Most sectors ended in the green, except for FMCG.
