Following closely is Apollo Hospitals Enterprise, which has seen a 2.75% rise in its stock price. The stock is currently trading at ₹6,614.45, up from its previous close of ₹6,437.35. Pharmaceutical company Divi’s Laboratories also made it to the top gainers list with a 2.41% increase in its stock price.

IT giants HCL Technologies and Wipro have also seen a positive trading session, with their stocks rising by 2.23% and 2.24% respectively. HCL Technologies Ltd. is currently trading at ₹1666.95, while Wipro Ltd. stands at ₹501.45.

On the other end of the spectrum, Coal India emerged as the worst performer of the day, with a 5.13% decrease in its stock price. The stock is currently trading at ₹432.80, down from its last close of ₹456.20.

Other underperformers include Hero MotoCorp Ltd. and Bharat Petroleum Corp. Ltd., with their stocks dipping by 4.51% and 3.88% respectively. Hero MotoCorp Ltd. is currently trading at ₹4687.5, while Bharat Petroleum Corp. Ltd. stands at ₹590.45.

Oil and Natural Gas Corp. Ltd. and Tata Steel Ltd. also faced a tough trading session, with their stocks decreasing by 3.61% and 2.76% respectively. Oil and Natural Gas Corp. Ltd. is currently trading at ₹257.90, while Tata Steel Ltd. is at ₹137.40.

The Indian benchmark indices relinquished their early morning gains to conclude the session in the red, driven by widespread selling across sectors. While the IT, Pharma, and Healthcare sectors managed to sustain their gains, the remaining sectors closed significantly lower. Media, PSB, Realty, and Oil & Gas suffered the most, with losses of 4.46%, 4.43%, 2.97%, and 2.62%, respectively.
