NBCC (India) led the charge with an extraordinary 19.06% increase in its stock price, closing at ₹168.65. LIC owns a 6.55% stake in the company.

SJVN and Engineers India also showcased strong performances with gains of 11.52% and 10.32%, respectively. NHPC and Bharat Petroleum Corporation completed the list of top gainers with their stock prices rising by 10.12% and 9.81%.

Conversely, One 97 Communications faced a steep decline, with its stock price dropping by 20%, closing at ₹487.20.

HFCL and Bikaji Foods International Ltd also saw notable declines, with their stock prices decreasing by 6.43% and 6.27%, respectively. Birla Corporation and Bayer CropScience rounded out the list of top losers with decreases of 5.21% and 4.59%.

On February 3, the Nifty 50 surged 2% to reach a new all-time high of 22,126.80 but retreated to close at 21,853.80, up 0.72%. Meanwhile, the Sensex hit an intraday high of 73,089.40 with a 2% jump and ended at 72,085.63, up 0.61%. The oil & gas index gained 4%, while the information technology, metal, realty, and power indices rose 1-2%. The bank index experienced a 0.5% decline. Nifty 500 closed 0.67% higher at 19,910.80.
