Tata Stock Jumps Close To 3% To Lead Nifty 50 Gainers

In Monday’s trading session, the NIFTY 50 index showcased a mix of stock performances, with Tata Motors and Bharat Petroleum Corporation leading the gains, while Bajaj Finance and Titan Company were among the top losers.

Tata Motors was the top performer, witnessing a 2.61% increase in its stock price, closing at ₹862.95.

BPCL also showed a strong performance, with its stock price rising by 2.10% to ₹503.00. Other significant gainers included Eicher Motors, Grasim Industries, and Adani Enterprises, with respective increases of 1.08%, 1.02%, and 0.98%.

On the other hand, Bajaj Finance faced the largest decline, with its stock price dropping by 5.14% to ₹6,822.30.

Titan Company also experienced a notable decrease, with a 3.29% drop to INR 3739.45. UltraTech Cement, Bajaj Finserv, and NTPC were among the other major losers, witnessing declines of 3.06%, 2.88%, and 2.80% respectively.

On January 30, after a robust surge the previous day, the Nifty 50 and Sensex both retreated by around 1%, driven by profit-taking and cautious sentiment ahead of the US Fed policy outcome and the Interim Budget. The Nifty 50 closed down 216 points (0.99%) at 21,522.10, while the Sensex ended 802 points (1.11%) lower at 71,139.90.

With the exception of realty and PSU Bank, all other sectoral indices closed in negative territory, with capital goods, FMCG, pharma, and power witnessing declines of 0.5-1%. The BSE Midcap index fell by 0.5%, while the Smallcap index ended flat.
