Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, Tata Steel, and Power Grid Corporation of India also showcased strong performances with gains of 4.01%, 3.88%, and 3.47%, respectively. Hindalco Industries was the top performer with a 4.39% increase.

On the other hand, ICICI Bank emerged as the biggest loser, with its stock price falling by 2.90% to INR 999.20.

Axis Bank, Asian Paints, Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone, and HDFC Life Insurance Company also recorded losses, with decreases of 2.76%, 1.81%, 1.45%, and 0.77%, respectively.

On January 24, benchmark indices concluded higher in a volatile session, with Nifty closing above 21,450. The Sensex was up 689.76 points, or 0.98%, at 71,060.31, and the Nifty was up 215.20 points, or 1.01%, at 21,454. Among sectors, auto, Information Technology, capital goods, FMCG, metal, oil & gas, and power were up 1-2%. BSE Midcap and Smallcap indices added nearly 2% each.
