ONGC Leads Gainers As Markets Stage Strong Comeback After 3 Days

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation led the gainers, showing a significant rise of 3.64%, elevating its stock price to ₹242.05 from the previous close of ₹233.55.

Bharti Airtel also performed strongly, witnessing a 3.49% growth and pushing its current price to INR 1125.00. NTPC, Tech Mahindra, and SBI Life Insurance were other significant gainers, with increases of 3.06%, 2.56%, and 2.54% respectively.

In contrast, IndusInd Bank (INDUSINDBK.NS) emerged as the biggest loser, with its stock price declining by 3.21% from its previous close.

HDFC Bank and Kotak Mahindra Bank also experienced downturns, with their stock prices dropping by 1.04% and 0.73%. Divi’s Laboratories and Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone faced minor losses as well.

After a three-day losing streak, both the Sensex and Nifty rebounded sharply on Friday. At the close, the Sensex recorded a gain of 496.37 points or 0.70%, reaching 71,683.23, while the Nifty was up by 160.10 points or 0.75%, closing at 21,622.40.

Among the sectoral indices, auto, capital goods, Information Technology, FMCG, metal, oil & gas, and power were all up by 1-2% each, contributing to the overall positive trend.
