Midcap Reliance Stock Jumps 10% To Lead Nifty 500 Gainers

Leading the gainers was Network18 Media & Investments, which saw a remarkable 9.41% increase in its stock value, soaring from ₹118.55 to ₹129.70.

TV18 Broadcast followed closely with a 7.83% increase, jumping to ₹65.45. Rail Vikas Nigam Limited, Cochin Shipyard, and ICICI Lombard General Insurance also featured among the top gainers, with increases of 7.54%, 7.19%, and 5.84% respectively.

Conversely, Indian Energy Exchange emerged as the biggest loser with a substantial 10.27% decline, falling to ₹147.25.

HDFC Bank followed with a significant drop of 8.44%. Other notable losers included Steel Authority of India, EaseMyTrip and Zomato experiencing declines of 5.4%, 4.67%, and 4.61% respectively.

The Indian stock market experienced its most substantial single-day decline in the last 1.5 years. The Nifty 50 registered a fall of 2.09%, while the Sensex incurred a loss of 2.23%. At the end of the trading day, the Sensex stood at 71,500.76, down by 1,628.01 points, and the Nifty was at 21,572, down by 460.30 points. Notably, on June 13, 2022, the Nifty 50 had witnessed a decline of 2.64%, and the Sensex had recorded a loss of 2.68%.
