Following closely, Infosys marked a growth of 2.44%, with its current price at ₹1,652.1. The IT sector continued to show strength with HCL Tech also making gains, up by 3.08%, and standing at ₹1,588.2. The Oil and Natural Gas Corporation also showed good performance with an increase of 4.52%, bringing its current price to ₹233.5. Leading the gainers, Wipro surged by 6.26%, reaching a price of ₹494.6.
On the other side, HDFC Life Insurance Company recorded the highest fall, down by 3.63%, with its current price at ₹614.45. Bajaj Finance saw a decrease of 2.39%, with its current price at ₹7,478. Hindalco Industries experienced a drop of 1.27%, bringing its price to ₹574.65. Bajaj Finserv and Eicher Motors also faced declines, with drops of 1.18% and 1.00%, respectively, setting their prices at ₹1,632.4 and ₹3,832.1.
The benchmark indices had an impressive start to the week surging past key milestones. The Sensex crossed 73,000 for the first time, while the Nifty surpassed 22,000. The buying action was particularly strong in the technology sector, lifting the overall indices on Dalal Street.
In the market today, all sectoral indices ended in the green, except for the metal sector. The IT, PSU Bank, and Oil & Gas sectors were among the top gainers, each rising by 1%.
