Adidas, the German sportswear giant, has announced plans to set up its first Asia Global Consumer Center (GCC) outside China in Tamil Nadu, India. The GCC will serve as a regional hub for the company’s operations in Asia, excluding China.
According to an Economic Times report, the new GCC will be located in Chennai, the capital of Tamil Nadu. The facility will be responsible for managing Adidas’s sales, marketing, and distribution activities in the region. It will also serve as a hub for product development and innovation.

The decision to establish the GCC in Tamil Nadu is part of Adidas’s strategy to expand its presence in India. The company sees India as a key growth market, with a large and growing population of young consumers. Adidas already has a strong presence in India, with over 1,000 retail stores across the country.
The establishment of the GCC in Tamil Nadu is expected to create new jobs and boost the local economy. The facility is expected to employ over 1,000 people.
