Bajaj Auto Emerges As Top Gainer Over Buyback Buzz

In today’s NIFTY 50 trading session, Bajaj Auto emerged as the top gainer, while Hindalco Industries experienced the most significant decline.

Bajaj Auto stood out as the top performer with a significant surge of 4.82%, closing at ₹6,986.50. The surge came late in the day as the company announced that it would be considering a buyback in its upcoming board meeting on Jan.8. Adani Enterprises followed with a 2.41% increase, reaching ₹3,003.00. IndusInd Bank also made a notable gain of 1.62%, ending the day at ₹1,601.15.

Additionally, ITC and Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone completed the top five gainers list, both showing a 1.47% rise in their stock prices.

Larsen & Toubro Infotech and Infosys rounded off the list of top losers, with their shares decreasing by 2.98% and 2.89%, settling at ₹5,961.05 and ₹1,490.00, respectively.
