Reliance-Backed Midcap Stock Jumps 20% To Lead Nifty 500 Gainers

Tuesday’s trading session on the NIFTY 500 index was marked by significant movements, with Alok Industries standing out as a top performer, while Vodafone Idea was among the worst.

Alok Industries led the gainers with a remarkable jump of nearly 20%, trading at ₹25.80, up from its last close at ₹21.50. Reliance Industries is a promoter of the company and owns around 40% stake. Sun Pharma Advanced Research Company also had a strong performance, with its stock price increasing by 10.05% to ₹338.40. Allcargo Logistics, Lemon Tree Hotels, and Glenmark Life Sciences also saw significant gains of 9.53%, 9.39%, and 9% respectively.

Other stocks that witnessed downward trends included NLC India, One 97 Communications (Paytm), Eicher Motors, and Macrotech Developers (Lodha Group), with losses of 4.14%, 3.69%, 3.61%, and 3.60% respectively.
