ACC, Ambuja, And Adani Green Surge As Group Stocks End Year With Strong Gains

The Adani Group stocks have seen a mixed bag of fortunes this week, with shares of Adani Enterprises, ACC, and Ambuja Cement posting impressive gains, while Adani Total Gas Ltd (ATGL) struggled. This performance comes in the wake of some key developments within the group’s companies.

Earlier in the week, Adani Green Energy Limited announced that it has finalised a power purchase agreement to supply 1,799 MW of solar power. This completes the firm’s commitment to the 8,000 MW manufacturing-linked tender offered by the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) in June 2020. The company has thus fulfilled all its obligations under the SECI manufacturing-linked solar PV tender, including the establishment of 2 GW of PV cell and module manufacturing facilities.

Adani Enterprises opened at ₹2,815.95 on Monday and closed at ₹2,848.95 on Friday, marking a weekly gain of ₹33.00 or 1.17%.

ACC saw a stronger performance. The stock opened the trading week at ₹2,120.00 and ended at ₹2,211.25, registering a weekly increase of ₹91.25 or 4.30%.

However, ATGL underperformed this week. The stock, listed as ATGL, opened at ₹1,004.00 and closed at ₹987.95, indicating a weekly loss of ₹16.05 or -1.60%.

Meanwhile, Adani Energy Solutions Limited has been making gains as it acquired Halvad Transmission from PFC Consulting Limited. Halvad Transmission is a special-purpose vehicle established to evacuate 7 gigawatts of renewable energy from Khavda RE park. Adani Energy Solutions will bring this project to fruition over the next 24 months on a BOOM (build, own operate, and maintain) basis.

Other notable Adani stocks, Adani Green Energy and Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone, also had distinctive movements. Adani Green saw a weekly rise of ₹54.00 or 3.50%, opening at ₹1,543.00 and closing at ₹1,597.00. On the other hand, Adani Ports dropped slightly by ₹9.65 or -0.93%, from an opening rate of ₹1,034.00 to a closing price of ₹1,024.35.

Overall, the week witnessed varied performances among the Adani group stocks, with some recording significant gains while others experienced minor setbacks. These performances also reflect the strategic developments within the group’s companies.
